Brooklyn discovery guide.

This week, Daily Design Idea moves shop from Manhattan to Brooklyn! In honor of the exciting change (and because of our general interest in local design) we’re starting a series that focuses on designers and stores in specific Brooklyn neighborhoods.

To kick off the series, here are two lists with design stores (aka “loot”) to be found all across Brooklyn:
Made in Brooklyn – New York Times, published May 2009
brooklyn guide – design*sponge, updated March 2010

You can also re-read our own post about this year’s BKLYN DESIGNS for even more design sources in this fantastic borough.

May 24′s daily design idea is even though globally influential designs and trends are important to follow, don’t forget to discover what’s being designed around you locally.
